Above the coast road, the umbrella pines lean out over the water as if they were listening. Each one has a story about wind, salt and patience.
A walk above Positano
Take the old mule path from Nocelle in the early morning. The houses fall away, the scent of wild fennel rises, and the sea opens up below you in every shade of blue.
Why the pines grow that way
Sea winds shape the trees over decades, flattening their crowns into wide green parasols. Locals say you can read the weather of a whole century in their branches.
Down to the water
Finish in Positano with a granita al limone and a swim from the pebble beach. The walk down is easy; leaving is the hard part.
